We’ve refined the purchasing process to improve value, reduce unnecessary complexity, and make it easier to choose the level of support that suits the way you want to build.
The purchasing process is now structured around three clear pathways: Frameset, Core Build, and Custom Project.
Each pathway reflects a different level of involvement, from self-directed frameset projects to fully managed custom builds, so you can choose the right level of control, guidance, and service for the bike you want to create.
Every rider approaches a new bike differently.
Some customers know exactly what they want and simply need the Bossi frame platform as the foundation. Others want a complete bike with the major specification decisions already resolved, with key fit and component choices refined around them. Others have a specific component direction, aesthetic brief, or more involved project in mind.
Previously, many Bossi purchases were treated as variations of a custom build. That gave customers a high degree of flexibility, but it also meant the process could become more involved than necessary.
The new structure gives each option a clearer role. It allows self-directed customers to access the frame platform without taking on a complete-bike process they may not need. It allows complete-bike customers to choose from Core Builds based on the configurations we build, test, ride, and support most often. And it gives Custom Projects the time, structure, and project management they require.
The aim is simple: a better-value way to buy a Bossi, with the right level of support for the way you want to buy, build, and ride.
The Frameset pathway is for customers who want full control of their Bossi build. It suits riders who already have a component direction in mind, have parts they plan to use, prefer working with their own mechanic, or enjoy shaping the build themselves over time.
This is the most flexible and direct way into a Bossi. It gives you the frame, fork, hardware, and platform required to begin your own project, while leaving the component choices, sourcing, timing, and final assembly in your hands.
For self-directed riders, this can be a cost-efficient pathway: you start with the Bossi platform, then decide where the rest of your budget, time, and specification choices are best spent.
Choose Frameset if:
You want to source your own components, work with your own mechanic, use parts you already own, spread the build over time, or take full control of the final specification.

Core Builds are our curated complete bike packages. They are based on the configurations we build, test, ride, and support most often, with component combinations selected for proven performance, clean integration, compatibility, reliability, and value.
By focusing the range around these proven specifications, we reduce unnecessary complexity and create better value in the finished bike.
The major decisions are already resolved: frame platform, groupset, wheelset, cockpit, finishing kit, and overall build direction. From there, the important rider-specific details are tailored to your needs, including crank length, cassette selection, cockpit sizing, saddle choice, and other fit or setup variables.
Each Core Build is built to order in Australia, with fit review included.
The aim is to give you a complete Bossi with the confidence of a proven build package and the rider-specific refinement expected from a made-to-order bike.
Choose Core Build if:
You want a complete bike with proven component choices, fit review, and rider-specific refinement, without having to configure every part from scratch.

The Custom Project pathway is for customers who want to go beyond our Core Build structure.
This may include non-standard drivetrain configurations, non-standard sourcing, detailed aesthetic direction, component themes, multiple component substitutions, or a specification developed from the ground up. Custom finishes, paint, and colour-matched components may also form part of a Custom Project where available, and are quoted separately where applicable.
This pathway gives us the time and structure to manage the additional work properly: sourcing, compatibility review, quoting, design coordination, supplier communication, CAD or fit review where required, and project management through to final delivery.
A single fit-based or approved component change does not make a build custom. A Custom Project begins when the specification creates meaningful additional sourcing, design, compatibility, quoting, or project-management work.
For riders with a clear idea of the bike they want, this is the pathway that gives the project the attention it deserves.
Choose Custom Project if:
You want a non-standard specification or drivetrain requirements, aesthetic brief, or a fully managed build developed around a specific requirement.

Frameset is the right pathway if you already know how you want to build the bike, have components you plan to use, prefer working with your own mechanic, or want to allocate your budget into the parts of the build that matter most to you.
Core Build is the right pathway if you want a complete Bossi with the major specification decisions already handled. You still get rider-specific refinement through fit review, cockpit sizing, gearing, saddle, tyres, and setup, but without needing to manage the entire specification from scratch.
Custom Project is the right pathway if your build involves unusual drivetrain choices, non-standard sourcing, multiple component substitutions, a detailed component direction, or additional project management beyond the Core Build pathway.
