How to order your Bossi
Every Bossi is built to order, with the model, size, specification, fit, and setup guided by the way you ride.
Some riders want a frameset as the foundation for their own build. Some prefer a complete bike with a proven specification and key fit details refined around their needs. Others have a specific finish, component direction, or more involved custom dream build in mind.
To make the process clearer, we offer three purchasing pathways: Frameset, Core Build, and Custom Project.
Choose your pathway
Frameset
For riders who want the Bossi platform as the starting point for their own build.
A Frameset is the right pathway if you already have a component direction in mind, have parts you plan to use, prefer working with your own mechanic, or want to build the bike over time. You get the Bossi frame platform, then decide how the rest of the bike comes together.
This is the most self-directed pathway, giving you control over the build and allowing you to allocate your budget into the areas that matter most to you.
Core Builds
For riders who want a complete Bossi with the major specification decisions already resolved.
Core Builds are curated around the configurations we build, test, ride, and support most often. They give you a proven starting point, then refine the key details around you: sizing, fit review, cockpit, crank length, gearing, saddle, tyres, bar tape, and setup.
This is the best-value pathway for riders who want a made-to-order complete bike with proven performance, professional assembly, fit review, and fewer unnecessary decisions.
Custom Projects
For riders with a more specific or involved bike in mind.
A Custom Project is the right pathway for a ground-up specification, non-standard sourcing, unusual drivetrain requirements, detailed component themes, custom finishes, or a build that requires more consultation and project management.
This is the highest-support pathway, giving more complex builds the time, structure, and project management they require.
THE PROCESS
1. Initial Consultation
Book Your Consultation
Start by choosing whether you are interested in a Frameset, Core Build, or Custom Project.
If you are unsure which pathway is right for you, book a consultation and we will help you decide. We can talk through model selection, fit requirements, budget, intended use, and the level of specification support you need.
Consultations can be completed in store, by phone, video, or email.
2. Quote and Deposit
After consultation, we will prepare a formal quote based on the agreed model, pathway, specification, and delivery requirements.
For in-stock framesets, the balance can be paid in full and we will arrange dispatch within 24–48 hours.
For complete bikes, a $2,000 AUD deposit is required to proceed with the next steps. This secures your order and allows us to begin the fit review, confirm final specification details, and prepare for production or assembly.
The remaining balance is due before final delivery or collection.
3. FIT REVIEW
After deposit, we complete a fit review before finalising component sizing and setup.
Local customers can visit us in store. For customers outside Sydney, we can work from measurements taken from an existing bike that fits well, or from a fit report provided by a local bike fitter.
Where required, we use this information to generate CAD drawings of your position on our frame geometries and recommend appropriate component sizing.
4. Final specification
Once the fit review is complete, we confirm the final details of your Frameset, Core Build, or Custom Project.
For complete bikes, this may include cockpit sizing, crank length, gearing, saddle, tyres, bar tape, and other relevant setup details.
Any changes outside the approved pathway or agreed specification may affect price, lead time, or project scope.
5. Production
Your Bossi then moves into production, preparation, or assembly depending on the pathway selected.
Framesets are prepared and checked before dispatch. Complete bikes are built to order in Australia, with professional assembly, setup, and final quality checks completed before delivery or collection.
6. DELIVERY OR COLLECTION
Once complete, we arrange delivery or collection.
Complete bikes are handed over or packed after final inspection. For interstate and international customers, we pack the bike or frameset carefully for safe transport.
